Honda recalls India City sedans to replace faulty part

As part of its latest recall, Japanese car manufacturer Honda is recalling more than 70000 cars mostly Honda City sedans for faulty power window switch. Though there have been no reports of any mishaps in India involving the faulty instrument, the company said that the switch may cause fire that may result in injuries.

Honda is the third largest car manufacturer and Honda City and Honda Civic are very common on the Indian roads. The company has just introduced a small car in the Indian market named Honda Brio.

Besides Honda City sedans, another smaller car Jazz too is facing recall. But the cars being recalled are those include those cars that were manufactured during 2005 to 2007. The cars manufactured prior of after this period are not included in recall and are not known to have such switches.

Japanese car manufacture adhere to quality and regularly recall cars for even small malfunction or malfunction that may occur in future.

Compare it with an Indian carmaker whose small car that was all over the media for sometimes has failed to recall a single car despite the fact that several of its cars burnt while either standing or while they were being driven.
