Car Online : Maruti Suzuki launches Ritz in Indian market
The country’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki India, on Friday launched its latest small car Ritz in both petrol and diesel variants, offered at an introductory price of Rs3.90-4.99 lakh.
This wonderful car has been built on a chopped Suzuki Swift floorpan with many underpinnings. While hitting the market as a family car, Ritz can be placed between the automobile giant’s recently launched A-Star and super-hatch Swift.
The Ritz comes packed with new K12 1197cc four-cylinder petrol engine and it is also the first car to be BS IV compliant months before this emission level is mandatory in India.
The petrol variant has a dual colour interior with a great combination of blue and black on the dash, doors as well as the seat fabric. The dual colour makes the interior brighter and airy than the Swift which has dark interiors. The large speedometer gives it a classic look along with the tachometer on top left which gives it a sporty touch. The gear knob has been moved into the central console somewhat like the Hyundai i10 making gear shifting easier.
The petrol version of Ritz would be available in three variants in the price range of Rs3.90 lakh to Rs 4.80 lakh, while the diesel engine car would be available in two variants between Rs4.65 lakh and Rs4.99 lakh.
